Our rescue dogs are kept in foster homes so they adjust to living in a home and can transition easily to their forever home. Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animal while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees also help to provide care for the other animals in the rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee.
The Adoption Process:
- Applicant fills out an application for a rescue animal
- Application is reviewed by WOOF Volunteers and the rescue's foster parent
- If Application is accepted, the applicant is contacted
- If Applicant is still interested, a meet-n-greet is set up
- If meet-n-greet is successful, a home visit is scheduled to verify that the home is suitable for the rescue animal
- If home visit is successful, the rescue animal is dropped off at their new forever home and the adoption fee / contract are collected
